Off the north east coach of Norfolk there lives one of the UK’s largest breeding colony of seals. This particular species is the Grey Seal. Naturally curious and playful, these large mammals live and breed on the busy beaches of Horsey. I took myself to the beach at sunrise to try and capture the spectacle of this group. I arrived at the early hours of the morning so that I could get into a hidden position without stressing the animals. I stayed put for the duration of the morning and right through until midday. As people started to make their way onto the beaches, I was struck by the ignorance of some people and their attitudes towards wildlife. Some brought dogs and young children, many of which were chasing the seals back into the sea! Even those with young pups. I was so disheartened by this behaviour that I took myself away. It was a truly magical place, ruined by certain individuals.
